Shistavanen are an intelligent race from the planet Uvena Prime. Due to their lupine and rather feral appearance other races have called them 'Wolfmen' which the Shistavanen consider both a slur and insult. Regardless of their dislike of the term it allows for a quick shorthand of their physiological features. Shistavanen are covered in fur in various tones of brown, with sharp claws, pointed ears, and rather vicious-looking teeth. They have an accute senses of smell, hearing, and night vision. The last of these three traits causes their eyes to glow red with even the smallest trace of light.

Shistavanen culture is exceptionally xenophobic and isolationist with their laws unabashedly favoring themselves and restricting outsiders. Despite this hesitancy to interact with the galaxy at large, some Shistavanen do travel off-world to find work as scouts and bounty hunters as their senses give them a distinct advantage in these pursuits.
