Bank Services

Diplomats of level 5 and higher can get interest at banks. The interest is 1% per day.

In order for a diplomat to get interest, they must leave the bank account untouched for at least 24 hours, real life time. Only each full day (24 hours) counts towards the interest dates. So, for example if a person deposits money in their account and checks the balance 23 hours later, they will not receive any interest, and the counting of time begins from zero again.

30 days is the longest time the account can remain untouched and get interest for.

For bank accounts with more than 1 million credits in them, interest is accrued only on the first million credits, unless the diplomat is also an HM slicer with bank hacking ability. The maximum amount of credits that accrues interest for diplomat/HM slicersis 2 million.

Refueling of ships does not affect the interest counter even though the money is withdrawn from the bank account.

The accumulated interest will not show up in 'score' automatically. You can only see your new real bank balance by checking at the bank, which will then also reset your interest timer. So, it is up to the diplomat to keep track of when they have visited the bank last.

A loan office can be found inside the diplomat building on Coruscant. From there diplomats can get a small loan, just enough to help them get started again, should they become completely penniless.

All bank transactions will be prohibited as long as the diplomat has unpaid loans. The interest on the loan is 1% per day. Again, only every full 24 hour period counts as one day. So it is possible to get a loan and pay it back during the same day and suffer no extra costs.

Diplomats can also transfer money from their account with only a 5% fee rather than the 10% fee that other players pay.
