Race Choices for SWmud Characters

When creating your character, you may pick from the races listed below. Just click on each name to get further information about that particular race's culture, statistics, and skills. You may prefer to see a summary of the race information and racial skills to aid you in your choice of race.

Remember, you cannot change your race during the life of your character, so choose carefully.

The pictures of most races were scanned from the Star Wars® The Essential Guide To Alien Species, and are the original work of R.K. Post. The picture of the Defel was scanned from Star Wars® Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races from West End Games®. The picture of the Noghri and the Bothan were scanned from the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons (planet Honoghr and Kothlis residents respectively) because I liked them better. They were then modified by VolShan to match the format of the other pictures. The Defel itself is the original work of either Michael Manley, Aaron McClellan, or Ralph McQuarrie (all 3 did interior art on Galaxy Guide 4). The Noghri and Bothan are the original work of either Brandon McKinney or Scott Kolins (both did the original illustrations in the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons). The collage above, the merging all of the copyrighted race images together for size comparison, is the work of VolShan, one of our players.

For those curious, the image above was done before the following player races were added, and thus they are missing from the image: Clawdite, Gand, Gungan, Sluissi, Togorian, and Zabrak.
