Morrt

Parasites about the size of field mice, morrts are native to the planet Gamorr. These bloodsuckers feed on living organisms, staying with a single host throughout their long lives. Gamorreans consider morrts to be friendly, cuddly, and loyal. They keep these parasites as pets and status symbols. They are the only creatures to which Gamorreans display open signs of affection, and the more morrts attached to a Gamorrean, the more status the Gamorrean has in the eyes of his fellows. Matrons and clan warlords regularly have in excess of twenty morrts covering their bodies, growing fat on their bodily liquids.
