Newbiway

Newbiway was just another obscure colony planet on the edge of the galaxy until Captain Sarlow, the colony's founder, mysteriously showed up on the Imperial Planet, Coruscant, begging an audience with the Emperor. This generated enough interest that Sarlow was actually the subject of prime-time news until it was discovered he was merely seeking the Empire's help to rescue the colony from some nasty space pirates. Whereupon a horde of journalists descended on the hapless colony in a rush to interview the pirate's leader, Hook.

Although the interview was never obtained, some fine footage of the pirates' rape and plunder of the colony was broadcast over the tach-feeds. Thereafter Newbiway was just another obscure colony planet on the edge of the galaxy that was overrun by pirates. That would be all the guide has to say about the colony except to note that Sarlow never had his audience with the Emperor and instead of doing the decent thing and fading into obscurity, he is rumored to be on Coruscant recruiting newbies to help the colonists fight the pirates.
