Bilar

The meter tall species called Bilars resemble hairless teddy bears with long arms, short legs, two dark eyes, and thin lips formed into perpetual grins. They come from the tropical world of Mima II in the Lar star system. Due to the effects of the Bilar group minds, or claqas, a single member of this species has no more intelligence than a rodent. But when Bilars come together to form a group mind, thier intelligence doubles with every new member. Seven-member claqas have genius-level intelligence, and ten member claqas are not unheard of. These claqas have group personalities that can be unnerving and unpredictable.
