Core Worlds region

The central region of the galaxy, surrounding the Deep Galactic Core, which cannot be entered safely by means currently known to humans and their allied species, is known as the Core Worlds region. This region was the original location of the Old Republic. From the Core worlds, the first galactic government spread outward like the spokes of a wheel. The region is now known for its history and culture, although many people complain that the Core Worlds are overly crowded.
