Outer Rim territories

The star systems located on the farthest edge of Imperial space are collectively known as the Outer Rim Territories. This region has been considered the galaxy's frontier since it was originally opened for settlement during the time of the Old Republic. The Empire considers this backwater area as being good for nothing but exploitation.
