Bounty hunters have access to many tools and tricks that allow them to get a 'leg up' on their quarry. These handheld tools fall under the blanket skill 'hunter tools'. Offensive hunter tools inflict additional stacks against a marked target.

The following items are classified as hunter tools:

Flare tubes (level 9)
Capture nets (level 14)
Whipcords (level 14)
Traps (level 15)
Locator devices (level 17)
HM Trap Effects (level 20)
