Game Reporting commands

For all 4 of the following commands, the [object] argument is optional, but useful if the report is with a particular object sitting in the room instead of the room itself. If an [object] is specified, then the file path of that object will be shown in the bug report. If an object is not specified (or could not be appropriately determined by the process), then the room's file path will be shown instead.

Please note that if you are in a secret or quest area, you could accidentally give away secret information by using any of the follwoing commands, so if in doubt, it would be best to mudmail your report to the area's caretaker instead.

Bug

Syntax: bug [object] (message)

This command allows a person to report a bug or malfunction that they might encounter. The use of the bug command is highly recommended and appreciated as it lets coders know what needs to be fixed.

To use this command, simply type bug followed by the optional [object] and/or a brief message describing the nature of the problem. We will try to get to it as soon as possible.

Idea or Mudidea

Syntax: idea [object] (message) or  mudidea [object] (message)

This command allows a person to report an idea that they think might be beneficial to the mud. The use of the idea command is highly recommended and appreciated as it can help coders either fix problems or come up with new features.

To use this command, simple type idea followed by the optional [object] and/or a brief message describing the nature of the suggestion. We will try to get to it as soon as possible.

Please read the Why Not? file before submitting ideas.

Praise

Syntax: praise [object] (message)

Logs a (message) of praise to the creator of the [object] (or the room if no object is specified) and to the main mud log so that the wizards and the creator of the object are aware that the room or object is appreciated.

Typo

Syntax: typo [object] (message)

Logs a typo to the creator of the [object]. When no [object] is specified, the room is assumed to have the typo.

Please read the Not Typos file before submitting a typo report.
