Scan
Syntax: scan (ship)
Scanning lets you see information about a certain ship. Note that the information that you receive is not always correct, especially if your skill % is low.
There are four areas of scanning, listed by which guild can do them:

| Pilot | 1 | ALL of the above, plus: Current and maximum shield strength Number of shield upgrades Any broken devices Any missing escape pods |
| Scientist | 5 | Maximum engine speed Number of engine upgrades Current and maximum hull strength Number of hull upgrades |
| Slicer | 15 | Information about who owns the ship |
| Smuggler | 13 | Weapon strength of each turret Current and maximum number of missiles Whether it has a cloaking device Whether it has an interdiction field Whether it has a tractor beam |
