Using Color on SWmud SWmud is best experienced from a color terminal. Information comes across to people with special codes denoting what type of information is being sent. If you have used the "setenv" command to specify a terminal protocol that supports colour codes, then the informations will be color coded. Otherwise it will come across in the regular black and white. You may send out text in color to others in your "say" and "tell", etc without fear of sending bad codes to people who cannot understand them using the protocol developed by Pinkfish@Discworld. Keywords must be enclosed in %^ %^. The keywords are: RED BLUE WHITE YELLOW GREEN BLACK ORANGE CYAN MAGENTA If you make these %^BOLD%^ then they become: RED BLUE WHITE YELLOW GREEN BLACK ORANGE CYAN MAGENTA You can also set up the background color behind the words (assuming it is tasteful and not hard on the eyes, since wizards have asked players to remove obnoxious tags before): B_RED B_BLUE B_WHITE B_YELLOW B_GREEN B_BLACK B_ORANGE B_CYAN B_MAGENTA Example: would have it appear as "This is red text." Terminals are automatically reset at the end of a line. To reset before the end of a line, use the code %^RESET%^. Colors in lines increase the usage cost of that line, per incident of color. This applies to shout, team lines, race lines, pk, and guild lines. It does not effect tell, reply, mtell, mreply, or say.
